Alphonso Peluso is an Architect, Educator, Multi Faceted Designer, and an award winning digital design and fabrication practitioner. His current work is focused on the advancement of 3D Printing in Architecture and Design. Additionally he spent several years researching Composites, specifically Carbon Fiber, and it’s application to Architecture. His teaching and research is rooted in using advanced 3D software and parametric design tools. He has a mass of fabrication experience using CNCs, 3D Printers, Thermoformers and Laser Cutters. Alphonso received his BArch and MArch from the Illinois Institute of Technology College of Architecture. He is a licensed Architect and was previously the founding partner of Vertex Architects LLC, a small design build firm in Chicago that focused on sustainable approaches to design and construction. He designed and built Illinois first LEED Certified single family home in 2008. Alphonso currently operates a small design build firm, is a Studio Associate Professor at the Illinois Institute of Technology in the College of Architecture.
