The focus of this IPRO will be on developing disaster-related responses to challenges faced by governments, groups, and/or individuals. Your team will identify a disaster-related challenge it wishes to work on. It can be COVID 19 related, but it does not have to be. This could mean looking at government responses to disaster planning through tools like public safety apps. It could mean identifying ways to improve the resilience of the health system. It could mean looking at the development of new products designed to help individuals cope with social distancing. Your team will have the flexibility to choose a problem it wants to work on. The instructor will provide guidance on how to work through the steps of problem-solving from the perspective of different disciplines. Teams will also need to identify stakeholders that would benefit from potential solutions and consider innovative ways to collect user feedback.
